Night Sparklers Suzy Chaffee Skiing PhotoAlso known as Suzy Chapstick for her famed Chapstick commercials, Suzy Chaffee could be North America's best known female skier. A pioneer in freestyle 'hot dog' skiing, Chaffee was originally an alpine racer who took up skiing when she was three years old. She headed the 1968 women's Olympic team. While racing, she was also interested in freestyle skiing. When freestyle became a professional sport in 1971, there was no women's division. Chaffee joined the pro tour anyway and won world championships from 1971 through 1973.
