1960's Nordic Toppen Tur-Ski Made in Norway
Toppen was a brand of ski made by the Gjovik Ski Factory in Gjovik, Norway. Olaf Hoff Bakken worked at the Madshus Ski Factory from 1935-1938. After Madshus Ski Factory at Gjovik burned in 1936, the company moved to Lillehammer, Norway. Bakken started the Gjovik Ski Factory in 1938 and employed ten former Madshus employees. Toppen was the most popular brand of ski produced at the Gjovik Ski Factory. This pair of wooden skis are in excellent condition with lignostone edges and 3 pin bindings.
