Constructed atop an area originally inhabited by the Bannock, Shoshone, Crow, and Blackfoot Native American tribes, and named after Chief Targhee of the Bannock tribe, Grand Targhee is one of the most famous ski resorts in Wyoming. It opened almost exactly 50 years ago in 1969, and it boasts incredible year-round activities for residents of Wyoming and Idaho and visitors from around the world.
