1970's Aspen Original Ski Poster with Roger Staub in Mogul Jet Turn
This is a classic 70's original ski poster of Roger Staub showing off a jet turn in the moguls on Aspen Mountain. When we were looking for information on who this skier was, we got really a lot of help from skiers all over the country. Some of the speculations included: Dave Ingemie, John Clendenin, Billy Kidd, Eddie Ferguson, Dexter Rutecki, Corky Fowler, Hermann Goellner, etc. Some suggested Roger Staub, while most were trying to decide what all of these named skiers looked like in 1970.
Finally the Hart Skis former Executive, Charlie Unternahrer, let us know that it was for certain Roger Staub, since Charlie was the one who hired him to do some of the Hart Skis Ads. Mystery solved!
Roger Staub was an alpine ski racer and Olympic gold medalist from Switzerland, who later became the Vail Ski School Director as Vail was just getting started.
