This classic image is from the early days of skiing Mount Lassen, Lassen Volcanic National Park, CA. They used to have a chair lift, but now the ski area is closed. The northeast side of Lassen Peak provides probably the finest skiing in the Park. Lassen Peak is best in spring conditions, as you can see this was true in the past as well. So all those still wanting to ski this great mountain must hike up and enjoy the ride.
