Freestyle Skiing Pro Tour 1973 and 1974 Collage Ski Poster
The World Freestyle Skiing Pro Tour was a series of competitions held at ski resorts in '73 - '74. The Tour was sponsored by Chevrolet and Skiing Magazine. Some of the Freestyle skiers and promoters who were a part of this Tour were: John Clendenin, Wayne Wong, 'Airborne' Eddie Ferguson, Genia Fuller, Penelope Street, Scott Brooksbank, Roger Evans, Bob Theobald, 'Bad' Bob Salerno, Michael Grazier, Robert Young, the Post Sisters, Bill O'Leary, Jack Taylor, Mike King, Suzy Chaffee, Donavon Phillips, Dan Pierce, Doug Pfeiffer, Billy Pugh, Rick Wood, Gerry Goodman, Kathy Brock, Troy Caldwell, Floyd Wilke, and many more.Winners were awarded new Chevy cars and many other prizes. The skiers have shared that they were a tight group, having a great time expanding the relatively new sport of Freestyle Skiing, The competitions included: aerials, ballet, and moguls. So to win an Overall title, the skier needed to excel in all three types of skiing. The feature length film - WINTER EQUINOX - was made by following the 1974 IFSA Freestyle Pro Tour around the USA, starting in Waterville Valley NH, through Park City, Sun Valley, Jackson Hole, and on to Heavenly Valley, CA. They also stopped for some fun freeskiing at Snowbird and Brian Head UT. In addition to plenty of Freestyle competition, the movie also has interviews with Clendenin, Ferguson, Salerno and Evans at the top of the runs, at the bottom, in an airplane, motor home, condo, hot tub, bar, and on the streets of Jackson Hole. You can also see this Freestyle Skiing Pro Tour represented by the ski posters:Also receive a 10% off coupon code to use on your next purchase.
