Tuckerman Ravine Spring Ski Race Poster
Mt. Washington, New Hampshire, is known for incredible back-country skiing in the large area called Tuckerman Ravine. This photographic print from 1994 shows good detail of the major ski routes that have made history over the years.
This area gets record snowfalls, like the 1968-1969 winter was the snowiest on record for Mt. Washington with totaling snowfall recorded at 575 inches. During the period of Feb 22-28, 98' fell on Mt. Washington, which was following a 30" snowfall from days before. From Nov. to Feb. the winds exceeded hurricane force during any given two out of three days, on average.
